Public procurement reform is a key government priority. Launched in 2016, the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) now serves 75,000+ buyer organisations and 6.5 million+ sellers. This programme covers GFR 2017, the GeM 4.0 platform and the latest procurement manuals (updated 2024–25).
Objectives
Programme Objectives
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of GFR 2017 and the Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
- Understand the impact of GFRs and GeM on organisational procurement.
- Acquire practical knowledge of procurement procedures under GFR, GeM and CPP.
- Learn hands-on processes — registration, order placement, CRAC issuance, bidding and reverse auction.
Target Participants: Officials from Central & State Governments, CPSEs, PSUs and Autonomous Bodies; professionals, entrepreneurs and academicians.
